This Vintage 1959 Shure Brothers 535 Dynamic microphone is equipped with the dual impedance switch. This radical looking mic was a huge step forward for Shure Brothers and has the same characteristics and overall design that are used by modern microphones today. It was manufactured in Evanston, ILL. 

 This particular microphone was nicknamed the "Slendyne" for it's slender appearance and one of the first microphones made to fit comfortably in the users hand while singing or broadcasting. This MD-57 has some weight to it as it's 100% metal and the satin chrome finish is very nice as seen in the pics provided. Just a few tiny scratches. No dent's corrosion or fractures. It's a dual impedance (high and Low) microphone with great sound characteristics.
